The Company
The Buckley Jolley Real Estate Team, the leading agency in Livingston County, is looking to add two new Administrative Assistants to help the team meet its growing demands. The office is located in the heart of downtown Brighton and is always a hub of activity with team members and clients alike.


The Positions
Both positions are permanent and part-time, located in Brighton and require between 24 and 30 hours per week.
 
Each Administrative Assistant will maintain a schedule that supports with the needs of the business. Ideally, the Company desires a shared weekly schedule consisting of a 3-day and 4-day split between the two positions. The new team members can expect to work one of the following options: Sunday 10am-3pm, Monday 8:30am-6pm, Tuesday 8:30am-6pm and Wednesday 8:30am-6pm or Thursday 8:30am-6pm, Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday 9am-6pm. Furthermore, one additional weekend day will be required of each Administrative Assistant per month, giving flexibility for each team member to enjoy a full weekend off every month.
 
Prior to hire, the Company is open to altering the pattern of weekly scheduled days, but requires that each team member works the daily hours listed, at least three days per week, and at least one weekend day each week.
 
The newest team members will enthusiastically act as the face of the agency, as well as support the internal team. Job duties include, but are not limited to, greeting guests, giving excellent customer service, responding to inbound phone calls, marketing support and social media updates, updating client records and files, supporting the business owner, and generally being a Jack or Jill-of-All Trades.  Given the nature of the position, the job also requires solid teamwork and the unique ability to effectively communicate, as portions of the job entail job-share duties.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • At least one year of experience in an office environment handling administrative duties
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities

Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is between $12 and $13 per hour, depending on experience, skills and abilities. Because this is technically a part-time position, it does not currently offer benefits. The opportunity, over time, is there to potentially work into additional compensation and perks and possibly a full-time role.
 
The Recruitment Process
The hiring process will include a phone screen, at least one in-person interview, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.
