The Position
Due to continued growth, the Company is adding a Production Supervisor to its team! This individual will be responsible for the following:
  • Open and close the plant.
  • Lead daily structured huddles and provide hands on support to the production and packaging team.
  • Exercise good leadership and effective communication skills.
  • Approve employee time cards each week, assign personnel to job positions, and observe the performance of team members.
  • Regularly review and determine staffing needs by working with HR to:
    • Interview and hire candidates.
    • Evaluate, coach, and promote direct reports.
    • Discipline direct reports.
  • Be the first responder to mechanical problems. Assess the situation, adjust production as necessary, and take corrective action.
  • Maintain the company’s Preventative Maintenance Program by issuing work and inspection orders and ensuring completion.
  • Direct and enforce the Safety Program while providing training and development.
  • Ensure the team’s compliance, while providing training and development, with the established policies in regard to safety, sanitation, etc.
  • Create a packaging schedule each day to meet the needs of outstanding orders, inspections, and checklists.
  • Maintain the tools and supplies and order as necessary.
  • Ensure an effective production team and team building.
  • All other duties assigned.
 
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma is required.
  • Must be able to work safely in a quick-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing direct reports.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Must have experience in using Excel, Word, and cloud-based software.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvements and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure
The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the day starting at 6:15 am and lasting until at least 5:00 pm (workload varies each day). The position offers a competitive salary and Medical benefits are available after 90 days of employment.  The compensation package also includes benefits such as PTO and Paid Holidays.
