The Position
As the Company continues to experience rapid growth, it is seeking an ambitious Human Resources Manager to join its team. The role offers a unique opportunity to take charge of new initiatives that will have immediate and long-term effects, both on the growing team and the business. Responsibilities for this position cover a wide range of HR functions and include, but are not limited to, developing and administering various training programs, conducting full cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt personnel, assessing and maintaining the compensation structure, ensuring policies and guidelines in the Company handbook are adhered to, handling all employee relations, managing LOA and workers comp claims, and facilitating terminations when necessary. The HR Manager will be the primary HR contact and should have a solid understanding of HR related laws and regulations. Additionally, the HR Manager will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining accurate department records and reports, DOT compliance, OSHA compliance, SAP and insurance mandates.
 
The new Human Resources Manager will work Monday through Friday. While the Human Resources Manager can typically expect to work a traditional office schedule of Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, the Company does request occasional schedule flexibility as the business continues to evolve and grow.  There will be situations where the HR Manager will be asked to adjust his or her schedule, allowing crossover time with team members from all shifts, which could be as early as 6am and as late as 8pm. This is not expected to be a daily or weekly occurrence, but is worth mentioning here.
 
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of Human Resource experience with all aspects of HR including, but not limited to: recruitment, employee relations and retention, compensation and training
  • Knowledgeable of HR laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Motivation to work independently, set priorities, and deliver results
  • Ability to analyze problems, exercise judgment, think strategically and make sound objective decisions
