The Position
The Project Coordinator will predominately work on the job site and must effectively utilize strong organizational skills to assist the Project Engineers and Project Managers with workflow, scheduling, material acquisition, and the completion of project related paperwork, such as contracts, submittals, change orders, RFPs, and RFIs. The Project Coordinator manages multiple projects simultaneously and plays a crucial role in the organization, and the progress and ultimate completion of projects.

The ideal candidate has an interest in construction and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, environment. Project Coordinators have ample room for growth and can take multiple career paths to continue to grow and gain exposure to Midwest Steel’s complex and unique projects.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred, but not required
  • At least 2-3 years of Administrative or support experience
  • Ability to travel and work on a construction job site 
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • The ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Suite
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure
This is a full-time, hourly, and non-exempt-level position, with a pay rate to be determined based on skills and experience. The position is eligible for the Company’s discretionary bonus program.

Recruitment Process
The recruitment process will include two phone screens, at least one in-person interview, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.
