Located in South Lyon, MI, SW North America is a technology focused company that supplies solutions for demanding, workpiece-specific manufacturing systems for the metal working industry. SWNA’s equipment is used worldwide, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries, in hydraulics and pneumatics manufacturing, and in many other emerging fields and markets.

The Position
The Company is adding an IT Systems Administrator to its team to manage a full range of information technologies and systems. As a department of one, this person will be responsible for the day-to-day, as well as high-level duties that come with overseeing a growing organization.

Duties include full implementations of the company’s software, providing technical support to employees, monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks within the Company, and solving technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face. The position is also responsible for any IT and implementation projects as assigned. The ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience is necessary for our next successful hire. 
 
Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience with IT management 
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible management style
  • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Oversee and maintain multiple on-site servers and applicable back-up
  • Ability to design and document internal/external project proposals
  • Experience with SAP preferred, but not required
  • German speaking ability preferred, but not required
 
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure
