Concrete Superintendent

F&B is involved in all things concrete, earthwork and site utilities related, including building foundations, concrete slab on grade, concrete elevated slabs, shored concrete slabs, industrial press pit foundations, concrete pavement projects, site development, to earthwork and pipework.

The Superintendent Position
To support the rapid growth, F&B is adding a Superintendent to its team! The position holds high-level responsibility of supervising the job site and ensuring that quality work is completed on time and in a safe manner. Superintendents work closely with the Project Managers to proactively manage job sites and resolve any problems or issues that arise.
 
F&B’s newest Superintendent will be a strong leader and be able to communicate with project owners, general contractors and other specialty contractors when issues arise. F&B offers a generous per diem package for those individuals who are willing to travel.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Superintendent:
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Superintendent or equivalent role
    • Experience working in concrete or heavy civil construction is strongly preferred but other experience will be considered
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
    • Equivalent combination of education/work experience will be considered
  • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individual
 
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure for the Superintendent:
Rewards for this position include a significant base salary, annual performance bonus plan, Employer-paid medical benefits, a 401K match, paid time off, and a strong team-based environment. Additionally, the Company provides long-term growth opportunities for its team.  

The Company does provide Per Diem for employees working out of town. The Per Diem is based on a healthy daily rate for the entire time the employee is assigned to the project. 

The Recruiting Process for the Superintendent:
The recruitment process will include a mixture of phone and in-person interviews, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test. The process is designed to make sure that candidates are aligned with the Company’s long-term goals and have shared core values.
