Advancement Director

Wixom, MI
Based in Wixom Michigan, St. Catherine of Siena Academy is an all-girl Catholic High School with a mission to transform and inspire young women to discover and develop their Feminine Genius - their unique identity and gifts as women created in the image of God.
 
The Position
The Advancement Director is responsible for leading St. Catherine of Siena Academy Advancement Program. The Advancement Director reports to the President and is responsible for the development and implementation of the advancement strategic plan for the Academy.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage all advancement activities including annual giving, capital campaigns, endowment programs, and special projects
  • Manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, major gift solicitation, and corporate relations
  • Maintain contact with and develop grant proposals for foundation and corporations
  • Develop and implement fundraising programs within the annual fund
  • Works with the President to develop strategies to meet fundraising goals
  • Manage/Use prospect research tools and donor database to build donor relationships
  • Manage donor records, files, and gift processing
  • Coordinate development research activities
  • Design and oversee production of all promotional materials for the advancement team
 
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Experience in advancement – annual fund, donor cultivation, capital campaign, and grant writing
  • Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to institutional advancement, donor cultivation, and fundraising
  • Knowledge and respect for the Catholic faith and a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education
 
Required Knowledge/Skills
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to easily change writing styles to fit the audience and voice of the piece
  • Creative, self-starter attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Time management and flexibility with job duties
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • Commitment to the highest standard of customer service and professionalism
  • Donor and volunteer service mentality
  • Organized and inspiring team leader
