Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Administrator

The Position
The Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for the execution of all A/P processes and some A/R functions.  The position ensures the accuracy of the entire A/P process as it relates to vendor payment processing, purchase order receiving, vendor invoice vouchering, and customer billing.  The role is fast paced with a high volume of invoices and requires someone who can prioritize effectively while multi-tasking. The individual will work side by side with other Accounting team members and assist the Controller with special projects as needed.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reviewing, verifying, and processing incoming vendor invoices, entering various payable documents into ERP system, and monitoring vendor payments to ensure all payments are made in accordance with vendor terms, and discount terms are applied and taken. This role will also require weekly ACH/Check run of 120+ payments per week including upload of electronic files to company bank, direct vouchering of expense invoices, three-way match of purchase orders and maintaining of vendor files including W-9 forms and vendor ACH payment information.

Desired Experience, Skill, and Abilities
  • Minimum Associates Accounting Degree or Relevant Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience desired
  • Competent in integrated accounting software
  • Attention to detail
  • Implements effective follow-up on open items requiring resolution
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and MS Excel
  • General knowledge of General Ledger Debit and Credit entries is a plus but not required.
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure

The Recruitment Process
