SWNA’s equipment is used worldwide, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries, in hydraulics and pneumatics manufacturing, and in many other emerging fields and markets.
SW North America is hiring a Service Technician
to its team to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact with the Company. The Service Technician will have the responsibility for, among other things, the maintenance, repair, service, and installation of CNC milling machining centers as well as assisting our customers in the resolution of problems they may encounter.
Responsibilities of the Service Technician may include, but are not limited to, installing, commissioning and servicing of SW customer build machines, installing and demonstrating new machines in customer plants, including electrical or mechanical check-outs, set up and commissioning, tooling, operation and programming as required in the field, performing basic electrical/electronic, or mechanical, or hydraulic problem diagnosis and repair in customer's plants during warranty period, and training customers in processing, tooling, operating and servicing SW machine products.
This position requires 95% domestic travel. Candidates should be comfortable working from home, and traveling to clients on a daily or weekly basis.
Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure
- 5 or more years of experience as a Service Technician, PLUS related experience and/or training on servicing up to 4 Axis CNC machines
- Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and laser systems
- Knowledge of CNC equipment (FANUC a plus).
- PLC programming experience with Siemens Step 7
- A valid Driver’s License
- Customer service-oriented demeanor
- Understanding of German language preferred, but not required
