The Supply Chain Intern Position
The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for serving the needs of the greater Supply Chain team to include assistance in systems enhancements, product sourcing, sampling, and product investigation.
The Supply Chain Intern will work within current systems to improve existing data and details and update and maintain “Sourcing 101” data, a supplier resource tool. The position also assists the Director of Purchasing in general price increase negotiations and follow-ups and will meet with suppliers on specific or general topics and communicate any significant information to the team. The position offers ample room for development and is a great fit for someone that is looking to further their career in Supply Chain management!
Desired Experience, Skill, and Abilities of the Supply Chain Intern
Working towards bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or University preferred; Minimum experience of two or more years related purchasing and/or inventory experience, or combination of education and experience.
The Recruitment Process for the Supply Chain Intern
- Must be knowledgeable in MS word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
The recruitment process will include an introductory phone screen, at least two virtual interviews, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.
