The Controller Position
The Company is hiring a senior-level Controller in Wixom, MI. The position is a combination of hands-on Controller work and CFO type duties. The Controller interfaces directly with both the ownership and senior operations leaders within the Company and involves managing the accounting and payroll functions throughout the organization.
The Controller leads the accounting and finance-related duties for the Company, which includes but is not limited to, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual report packages; managing cash flow and investments; collaborating with the auditing, bonding, and banking partners; maintaining the accounting systems; overseeing all payroll, sales/use, and corporate returns in a multi-state environment; and generally being the “go-to” person for anything finance and accounting related with the organization.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Controller

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience in Construction is preferred.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- Have a unique ability to dive into details and work “hands-on” while also having excellent interpersonal communication skills.

The Controller position is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive annual salary based on skills, abilities, and length of service. The Company’s bonus plan is based on Company profitability and individual performance and has been paid out consistently for over 20 years.
