The Company also creates world class training, education, periodicals, and programming for ice sports through their Suburban Hockey School. Skaters and hockey players or enthusiasts are encouraged to apply! The Company is looking for individuals who are hardworking, dependable and take pride in their work to be a part of a fun, sports-oriented atmosphere!  Suburban Sports Group is hiring both full-time and part-time (15-20 hours/week) Zamboni Operator/Custodians for its six hockey ice areans in East Lansing, Farmington Hills, Macomb, Novi, Rochester and Royal Oak, MI.  
Responsibilities for the Zamboni Operator/Custodian position include, but are not limited to, general building maintenance, cleaning and ice resurfacing before, during and after events, operational duties as necessary and assisting in day-to-day upkeep of the facilities.
The Zamboni Operator/Custodian position requires the ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Previous mechanical and ice resurfacing skills preferred, but not required
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and visitors to the arenas
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Candidates must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Compensation & Benefits for the Zamboni Operator/Custodian: 
This position includes a recoginition bonus of up to $500 after 6 months of consecutive employment!
