Responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialists is responsible for a variety of marketing duties centered around focusIT’s marketing automation software. This is accomplished by collaborating with management, the marketing and sales team, the product manager, and customers to understand and develop comprehensive content. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing all of the copy, to be used by customers within the marketing automation software, as well as for focusIT’s marketing efforts on social media, email campaigns, and on our website.

Additional duties of the Marketing Specialist include managing the social media campaigns across all platforms to further focusIT’s visibility and engagement with followers. Additionally, staying up to date with industry trends, competitors and other relevant market forces is key to helping the Marketing Specialist continuously improve.

Required Qualifications for the Marketing Specialist

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
  • 2+ years’ experience in content marketing or copywriting is required
  • Knowledge of, and experience with the mortgage industry, and specifically the residential mortgage process, is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice, as evidenced by writing samples
  • The ability to write, read and speak English fluently
  • Capable of working efficiently in a predominantly remote-work environment

Compensation and Benefits Package for the Marketing Specialist

The position can be either full-time or part-time, depending on the preferred schedule of the selected candidate.
