Primary areas of expertise include multi-family, senior living, historical renovations, commercial, non-profit, and the occasional institutional project. As the company continues to experience steady and exciting growth, it is seeking an experienced Director of Estimating to lead their preconstruction efforts.
The Director of Estimating Position
The Director of Estimating will lead the estimating team by supporting the training and mentoring of estimators, review and implementation of procedures as needed, reviewing estimates, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships and communication with clients, employees and sub-contractors.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to managing job takeoffs, bid preparations, bid scheduling, bid follow-up and data collection, people management within the estimating department, bid reporting/daily dashboards, and bid analysis and vendor relationships.
The Director of Estimating will work directly with the other members of the senior leadership team, have the ability to work on and influence unique projects, and be a part of a team that values hard-work and dedication. Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Director of Estimating
• 10+ years of Estimating experience is preferred
• 10+ years of Construction industry experience is required
• Previous Leadership experience, including hiring, training and coaching
• Experience in the following: On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid, Procore, Microsoft Office Products, and Microsoft Teams
