The Senior Accountant (Part-Time) Position The Senior Accountant (Part-Time) position is ideal for someone looking for a professional work environment with the flexibility to enjoy life outside of the office. This is a part-time role with the ability to work up to 20 hours per week. The start date for this position is flexible based on candidate preference but would ideally take place before December 2021.
The Senior Accountant (Part-Time) job duties include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing 1040 Tax Returns
Preparing Business Tax Returns
Reviewing Monthly Bookkeeping
Answer general tax questions from clients
Assist in tax planning and projections
Assist in various financial projects utilizing a broad range of bookkeeping skills
Support the owner’s tasks and proactively communicating progress on projects
Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Senior Accountant (Part-Time) Position
Experience preparing both individual and business tax returns is required
Experience in a public CPA firm is required
CPA Certification is preferred, but not required
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Must have ability to be proactive with good follow through
Must be self-directed, detail oriented, and organized
Excellent bookkeeping skills, including experience in QuickBooks
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, computer systems, and math skills
Experience with Thomson Reuters software is a plus!
Compensation, Benefits and Structure of the Senior Accountant (Part-Time) Position Work times are during regular business hours and would be roughly 20 hours per week. Flexible scheduling is also available! Jellison CPA offers a competitive pay rate, paid time off, and a matching retirement plan.
