The Payroll Specialist Position The Company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to lead their weekly (union and non-union) payroll process, including employee data entry, verification, and reporting. The Payroll Specialist will handle specialty payroll skills including union wages, fringe benefits, and MDOT prevailing wages.
The Payroll Specialist will assist in various HR related functions, including the creating and maintenance of employee records, recruiting/retention efforts, training, and benefits administration. Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Payroll Specialist Position:
High school diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Experience in accurate payroll processing required
Experience in Foundation Software is a plus, but is not required
Familiarity with construction/union payroll desired
Strong Computer, Communication & Organizational Skills
Basic knowledge of construction administration and a willingness to learn
Work ethic focused on confidentiality & loyalty
