The Chief Operations Officer Position
Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for a leadership role in financial, operational, and strategic initiatives with senior management. This includes playing a key role in overseeing daily operations to ensure alignment with company goals and strategies, while maintaining continuous improvement both personally and systematically – making sure the company continues to improve year after year.
The COO is a consultant for the company, collecting information about the company, and synthesize that information to aligning goals, values, vision, and compensation and be able to communicate the President/CEO’s vision for the company to all others internally.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Chief Operations Officer Position
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in management & leadership is required
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required, Master’s degree is preferred
Ability to engage a team to produce high quality results
Must be adaptable to change and enjoy work that frequently shifts direction
Must thrive in high-pressure working environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
General computer literacy and expert fluency in Microsoft Office suite
