HR Generalist

The HR Generalist Role:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a wide range of HR functions and support for the day-to-day duties of the Human Resources department.
The position holds responsibility for a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, assisting with full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for new hires, supporting all aspects of benefits administration, supporting compliance and training programs, manages workers compensation and personal leave administration, administers off-boarding process and employee relations, and performing other general business duties as required and assigned. This position will report to the Director of Shared Services and works alongside other departments while playing a key role in the success of the HR department.  
 
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the HR processes and procedures run effectively in order to best support the department and Company. The HR Generalist will be self-motivated and present with a positive attitude and possess the desire to learn new things while managing shifting priorities. Given the culture and nature of The Company, the team the HR Generalist is supports day-to-day, physically report to work every day, making this is a “work from work” position.
It is expected that the HR Generalist desires being hands-on and working alongside the team in person vs. working remotely.

Preferred Experience, Skills & Abilities of the HR Generalist:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of five years' experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, analyzing data and developing creative, resourceful solutions
  • Ability to be hands-on, willingness to engage, problem solve and take action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Spanish fluent is preferred, but not required

Compensation, Benefits & Structure of the HR Generalist:
This position is full time and permanent, and includes a competitive salary structure, based on skills and experience, and discretionary year-end bonuses. The Recruitment Process for the HR Generalist:
