Great Lakes Bay Health Centers (GLBHC) is a community health center umbrella made up of 33 locations throughout the Great Lakes Bay region and beyond. All locations are set up to serve underserved populations by providing comprehensive health care, including behavioral health, dental, medical, and many more! The Recruiter Position The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent. The Recruiter finds talent for the organization, qualifies them based on the experience, skills and abilities needed for each position, and coaches hiring managers through the entire interviewing and selection process.
The Recruiter is a valued member of the Human Resources team and is viewed as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition and retention.
Additional responsibilities for the Recruiter position include, but are not limited to:
Utilizes a wide variety of software systems (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) to source talent
Coordinates and participates in the interview process with hiring managers
Checks references and credentials of potential hires, verifying experience and backgrounds
Acts as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers
Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities
Assist with the new-hire onboarding process
Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Recruiter Position
Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or related field) is preferred
At least 3 years of HR-related experience is required, and at least 1 year of recruiting experience is preferred
Certified as a SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
Compensation, Benefits & Structure of the Recruiter Position This position includes a competitive salary structure based on skills and experience, a comprehensive benefit & retirement package, paid time off, holiday pay, and monthly free lunches. The position is Monday-Friday and based in our Saginaw, MI office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
