The Project Manager Position
O’Brien Construction is looking for a Project Manager with superior problem-solving skills to lead the successful completion of a variety of project types in the Metro Detroit area. The role is multi-dimensional and fast-paced, as the Project Manager is responsible for juggling all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously from planning through close-out. As a Project Manager at O’Brien Construction, you will be involved in the project from conception to completion. The right candidate will have a deep technical understanding of construction, be an effective communicator, have strong budget and schedule management skills, and an ability to understand the bigger picture.
Crucial components of this job include managing the in-house team, interfacing with clients and maintaining relationships with subcontractors, vendors and design firms. The Project Manager has the high-level responsibility of keeping appropriate parties informed and up to date on the project schedule and budget. O’Brien Construction Project Manager’s work closely with the Superintendent to ensure that the subcontractor base is working safely, on schedule, and meeting quality requirements.
