The Human Resources Generalist Position The Company is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to handle all non-payroll aspects of HR, serving employees in multiple states. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, benefit selection and administration, employee relations, policy development and implementation, and strategic planning efforts. This position will work closely with leadership to support and align the Company’s strategic plan to the internal processes and policies.
The HR Generalist will support the employees at every stage of their employment and should feel comfortable developing relationships with employees while also maintaining confidentiality regarding Company and individual employee information.
Targeted Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Human Resources Generalist Position
5+ years of HR and recruiting experience is required
Experience in the construction industry is preferred, but not required
Experience in HRIS/ATS software and Excel is preferred
Flexible work approach, including the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and to adapt to various situations
Ability to work in areas where black and white decisions are not always available
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure of the Human Resources Generalist Position The position is full-time and provides a competitive salary, annual bonus, medical benefits, paid time off, and a stable Company environment.This position reports directly to the Owner and will not have any direct reports.
The Recruiting Process for the Human Resources Generalist Position The recruiting process is designed to be a thorough, two-way evaluation to ensure that the best decision is made by both the company and the candidate. Given this, multiple steps are required, including a phone interview, in-person interviews, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check.
