We are a Construction Manager and General Contractor with a mission to develop lasting relationships built on mutual trust and respect.
O’Brien Construction builds so much more than senior housing and historical renovations.  We’re building trust, pride, and a better world than it was yesterday – one job at a time. Because that’s what it means to be Purpose Built.
Building a career is like building anything else - it takes the right plan, the right team and the right commitment. When you work with O’Brien Construction, we can promise you will: accomplish work you’ll be proud of, work with great people, and grow both the community and your career.

The Project Engineer will hit the ground running working with Project Managers, Superintendents and Field Trades on unique projects that have a direct impact on the community. Project Engineers will experience a mixture of office and field work and be responsible for a wide range of duties, from ordering and securing materials and deliveries to tracking quantities, reviewing submittals, RFI’s and other critical communication, and helping the Project Managers and Superintendents in all areas where support is needed.

The position offers the unique opportunity to work with a family-oriented, relationship-focused contractor while enjoying a great work/life balance. O'Brien Construction is truly a great place to work!

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Project Engineer Position:
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • 100% commitment to safety
  • Integrity and trust
  • Willingness to put in the time and effort required to be successful in construction
  • Desire to learn and grow within the field
  • Desire to learn and adopt new technologies
  • Passion and energy for construction
Compensation, Benefits, and Structure for the Project Engineer Position:
We pride ourselves on providing benefits that bring out the best in our people. Our comprehensive benefit packages include the things you expect – health, dental, vision, 401(k) – along with the things you deserve like income protection and extraordinary work-life benefits.

In addition, this full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary, discretionary annual bonus, paid time off, tuition reimbursement and professional development into a variety of career paths, and a strong Company culture.

The Recruiting Process for the Project Engineer:
The recruitment process is designed to be a thorough, two-way evaluation to ensure that the best decision is made by both the Company and the candidate. Given this, multiple steps are required, including a phone interview, in-person interviews, candidate assessments, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.

O'Brien Construction Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer!
