Inventory Control Assistant

Fast-forward nearly 50 years and we are still known as one of the largest distributors (of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) in the state with an 11-county footprint in mid-Michigan. 

The Inventory Control Assistant Position:
The Inventory Control Assistant will be based out of the Flint, MI office. This role is pivotal to our inventory processes and will require a reliable, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable in a support role and has a “self-starter” attitude. This position will assist in keeping an accurate inventory of items delivered and stored at the facility. This position will include:

 
  • Conducting cycle counts
  • Inspection and counting of incoming shipments
  • Researching lost pallets/items
  • Entering new inventory/pricing in beverage software 
  • Monitoring and reconciling inventory levels with customer orders
  • Consulting with management regarding inventory levels/discrepancies
  • Managing communication to team regarding new inventory and quantities
  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Inventory Control Assistant:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required
  • MS Office skills, including Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Honesty/Integrity
