Located in New Hudson, MI, SW North America is a technology focused company that supplies solutions for demanding, workpiece-specific manufacturing systems for the metal working industry. SWNA’s equipment is used worldwide, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries, in hydraulics and pneumatics manufacturing, and in many other emerging fields and markets.

The Position
The Company is adding an HR Generalist to its team to manage all Human Resource functions for the Company. As the main point of contact for SW North America employees, the HR Generalist will need to be an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.  The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and possess the ability to assist the Company in developing and maintaining a positive company culture.

Duties include but are not limited to, employee relations, recruiting and on-boarding, develop and track in-house employee training, oversee company apprentice and co-op programs, pre-employment screening, benefits management, employee terminations, affirmative action and employment equity programs and payroll functions.

Targeted Experience, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure

The Recruitment Process
