Construction Project Manager (Traveling/Carolina Region)

In addition, Fessler & Bowman completes site preparation, grading, excavating and installation of underground utilities for their clients. The Company is looking to add to their talented project management staff in the thriving Carolina region. The Position:
The Project Manager works directly with the General Contractor/Construction Manager and project owner(s) to ensure projects meet expectations and run smoothly from start to finish. This position specifically requires someone to act as the onsite PM, ensure the Company's best interest on projects, and work with F&B's Site Superintendent. The PM has a variety of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: document control, project scheduling, change order management, quantity tracking, material scheduling, budgeting and cost control, and final close-out of the job. 
This position will require travel in and around the Carolina region including Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham and Charleston. Depending on the candidate's preference and willingness to travel, they could have a home base in our Michigan or North Carolina office, or could be a traveling PM working primarily on out-of-town projects.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Ability to balance company and project owner's interest 
  • Organized and capable of managing the 900+ tasks, details and changes that come with every large construction project

The Company provides Per Diem for employees working out of town. The Per Diem is based on a healthy daily rate for the entire time the employee is assigned to the project.
